Mi cajita is not a personal blog, it´s not a image album, it’s not a collection of trendy gadgets or cutting edge gizmos, but you might find all these in here.
In mi cajita (my little box) I keep all these things that I come across and I like.
If you are visiting this space I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Magic touches Gaudi’s buildings
The Awakening of the Casa Batllo. Antoni Gaudi, Barcelona
A surprising show that explains a magical story, the story of a building admired around the world, Casa Batllo.
It was built by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí between 1904 and 1906, by order of a textile businessman, Mr. Josep Batllo.
To make the facade Gaudí was inspired by the legend of St. George and the Dragon, and to the inside, by the sea. But the imagination of the locals went further, in addition to the back of a dragon and the sea, they saw bones, yawning mouths, harlequins, flying bats and flowering ponds as the lily of Monet.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the public opening of the Casa Batllo, this show is a very special gift for all visitors and admirers of this building designed by Gaudí, a world heritage site by UNESCO. An invitation to dream of Casa Batllo and discover all the possible interpretations of their dreamlike shapes.

Be your own souvenir!
Made in Barcelona
This past January, BlablabLAB enlisted three Kinects and a RepRap machine to snap passersby and render them into personalized tchotchkes, in a project called Be Your Own Souvenir.
Subjects stood on top of a small platform, mimicking the human statues on La Rambla, as the Kinects captured their likeness in full 360-degree glory. The resulting images were then processed as a mesh reconstruction, saved as a G-code file, and then fed through a 3D printer, and voilà! out popped the tiny statuettes.
